Happy Canada Day long weekend, lovelies! Did you catch our Canada Day wedding inspiration yesterday? We couldn’t keep our patriotic excitement to ourselves (but we did manage to avoid getting too cheesy and suggesting something like a Canadian flag wedding dress).
What are your plans for celebrating our country? We’re torn between trekking out to Surrey to see Sam Roberts Band and Captain Canada, wandering the block party at the Waldorf Hotel (grilled cheese food truck, people!), or sticking with our old standby, Granville Island. And, of course, there’s always the option of the food-focused celebration…say, poutine, a BeaverTail, and a local brew.
Before you head out to honor the Great White North, here are the links we’re loving from around the web this week:
+ Nice to see a groom get a moment with the bouquet for a change
+ A relatively simple and very sweet DIY pastel sprinkle wedding cake
+ Pops of neon for bridesmaids
+ Clever DIY save the dates with string detailing
+ In the mood to daydream about wedding cakes? The new Ganache Patisserie site has you covered
+ A nice change from hand-painted wooden wedding signs
+ How about some free salsa and ballroom dance lessons to get ready for your reception?
Altogether now: O’ Canada…
