The wedding photo booth trend shows no sign of slowing down, in fact, it seems to be picking up more steam everyday. It makes sense—guest often rave about how fun photo booths are (and post the pictures they take all over the internet) and the bride and groom get to take home more photos of their guests than even the best photographer could capture.
If you’re wanting to bring on a booth for your wedding, we recommend taking the digital route. The old-fashioned machine photo booths are good for nostalgia but they also tend to be more expensive, and you won’t end up with a disk full of images that you can incorporate into a guest book or online album. A digital photo booth will still offer the fun but for far less funds.
Our favorite company is Photobooth Vancouver and that’s because their booths look similar to what you’d expect in an old school booth (privacy is a must for true goofiness!) and their service unbeatable. They’ve also got a range of backdrops, like big top circus and the red damask featured above, and the resulting photos always look amazing.
At $300 an hour with a minimum rental of two hours, it’s not the cheapest service you’ll book for your wedding. Most of the brides we’ve talked to, however, never regretted laying down a little extra dough for what turned out to be a lot of fun.
Of course, if you’re already over budget and fretting about spending another penny, there’s always a DIY photobooth but if you can scrounge up the extra cash, booking a company is a lot easier.
