Maybe you’re a Vancouver bride who lives in the heart of Vancouver or maybe you’re a Vancouver bride who’s a little farther out from the city proper, either way getting married in the “country side” (Burnaby, Langley and beyond) has its advantages. There are one-of-a-kind venues, jaw-dropping outdoor locations, and less competition for booking your desired wedding date.
To get a feel for whether the outer Fraser Valley might be a good fit for your wedding (or to lock down some venues for an almost-out-of-town wedding), check out the Fraser Valley Wedding Festival this Sunday. It’s running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Coast Hotel & Convention Center (pictured above). Best of all, admission is free!
You’ll be able to check out vendors, get a mini-makeover, partake in a complimentary bridal tea and generally get a feel for what’s available outside of the downtown core. And when you’re all wedding-ed out, you can head next door to the Cascades Casino and try and win a little cash to put towards the whole affair.
